Tears Of Joy

Never have i thought i would cry when listening to a song. That has changed. I havent one ounce of why i started to tear but none the less i did. Maybe it was the harmony. Maybe the drum beat. Whatever it was, it moved me. Music changes me mood, and ultimately can move me. This specific song that i cried while listening to was an acoustic version of, "Unwinding Cable Car," by the band Anberlin. Their vocal capacities and lyrics are quite touching. If ever they are in your town while on tour, i would strongly advise you to see them. They are worth every penny. They are NOT the only band that is worth every penny, yet they are my new favorite.

360 Degrees

Have you ever been really amazed by someone's transformation? I sure have, especially recently. I have loved Thrice since i was introduced to their music back in 2000, and i have been playing their music ever since. I have even seen them live (The Catalyst Club, Santa Cruz, California) and it was one of the best concerts of my life, not including when i saw 30 Seconds to Mars. Myspace has not only been a social networking site for me but has introduced me to a whole new music scene. I have discovered new music because of myspace and today it did just that for me, yet again might i add. Dustin Kensrue from Thrice has his own myspace music page where he has submitted songs from his upcoming album. Going from angry and honest vocals as the lead singer of Thrice, to an indie solo artist in just a blink of an eye. Quite amazing is the only way i can think to describe his transformation. A complete 360 for his career, yet I still am a fan of his voice, which is one of the best in the industry. Some musicians try and prove they're worthy and Kensrue has done just that and more. Maybe his new solo project is foreshadowing a new road that Thrice will be taking?
